Quantum Associative Memory that Processes Nonorthogonal Patterns
A novel quantum associative memory using thequantum holography scheme is presented. The patternsstored in the model are encoded into a set ofindependent quantum states. It overcomes the harm ofnonorthogonal by storing these independent patternsinto the memory using an iterative learning algorithm. The positive operation valued measurement isperformed on the selectively recalled quantum statewhen does the information retrieval.Computersimulations show that the model exhibits goodassociative ability.Benefiting from the quantumimplementation, the model not only can improve theperformance and storage capacity,it also may be asuitable model to explain the biological associativephenomena because the phase of oscillation is inherentin the model.
