Pheromone-Based Concept in Ant Clustering

摘要：

This paper proposes one of the ideas related toSwarm Intelligence in social insects,by using antpheromone concepts in Ant-Based Clustering.Multiple Pheromones in Ant-Based Clustering(MPABC)with ant nest algorithm and with antmemory algorithm are our two proposed methods ofmultiple pheromone concepts in Ant-Based Clustering.Both algorithms have used the artificial pheromoneswhich consist of Trailing Pheromone and ForagingPheromone.These pheromones help ants decide whichdirection to go or where to pick up or drop the item offood.The experiments on clustering time in bothalgorithms are compared with those of the basicalgorithm of Ant-Based Clustering.Finally,theexperimental results have shown that the artificialpheromones have an effect on reducing the clusteringtime compared with the basic algorithm.
