Bibliography of Works Done on CAPTCHA

Nowadays,a great amount of information is circu-lated through the Internet.Some of them exclusivelybelongs to a special group of users and requires pro-tection and safeguarding against unauthorized access.To this end,a category of systems called HIP(HumanInteractive Proof)have been introduced to distinguishbetween various groups of users.CAPTCHA(Completely Automatic Public TuringTest to Tell Computer and Human Apart)methods areone of the important branches of HIP systems which areused to distinguish between human users and computerprograms automatically.These methods are based onArtificial Intelligence(AI)topics.The goal of these sys-tems is to ask questions which human users can easilyanswer but current computer programs cannot.During past years,many researchers worked on HIPand CAPTCHA systems.In this paper,we try to collectdifferent works which are done on HIP and CAPTCHAsystems and create a complete bibliography of pub-lished works.We collect 87 published works and clas-sify them into a number of categories.This papercontains different works which are done for creatingCAPTCHA methods,attacking CAPTCHA methods andapplications of CAPTCHA methods.We think that thispaper can help new researchers in CAPTCHA domainsto quickly find the works which are done previously.
