Approach to Model WEB Activity Based on Phase Transition Theory
Many kinds of interactive WEB spaces haveattracted more and more people to express their ownopinion,and communicate with others,etc.However,the complexity that is generated from topics,usersactivity,and their evolution properties leads to thedifficulty in describing the dynamic in WEB activities.Considering a WEB space as an open system whichlocates at a far from equilibrium state,we apply phasetransition theory to capture the macroscopic dynamicin WEB activity and proposed a generative model.AHurst sequence which identifies the macroscopicproperty like the temporal dependency and phasetransition is defined.A set of Hurst sequences which isextracted from a WEB space is used to compute itsdynamic characteristic.Related algorithms,such asFHS generating algorithm are provided.Experimentson FUDAN BBS analysis are done and the resultsshow that the proposed method can identify the WEBdynamic well.
