An Intelligent Design System for Military Situation Assessment
Maintaining an accurate assessment of military situation assessment is essential to prevention, containment and effective response to military conflicts of all kinds.This research developed an intelligent decision support system for military situation assessment,which would be extremely useful for military decision makers.High uncertainty and thedynamics of the environment is a crucial problem formilitary situation assessment.In this research,Bayesian network models which have the ability tomodel and reason under uncertainties are employed asdecision models.A new approach for constructing adecision model from knowledge base according to thechanges in environment is proposed.An example fromdomain-littoral threats assessment is used todemonstrate this systems capability to constructsituation-specific Bayesian network decision modelsfrom the domain knowledge base dynamically.Thegenerated Bayesian network for situation assessmentcan be changed as the situation evolves.
