Negotiating Agent Architecture and Communication Model
Traditional research in automated negotiation isfocused on negotiation protocol and strategy.Thispaper studies automated negotiation from a new point,proposes a novel concept,namely negotiating agent,argues its significance in construction of automatednegotiation system;designs its architecture,which isbased on the agents ability of communication,andcan support both goal-directed reasoning and reactiveresponse. In order to construct an interactionmechanism among negotiating agents, acommunication model is proposed,in which thenegotiation language used by agents is defined Designof the communication model and the language hasbeen attempted in such a way so as to provide generalsupport for a wide variety of commercial negotiationcircumstances,and therefore to be.particularlysuitable for electronic commerce.
