MECHANICAL BEHAVIOR OF 3D-BSFC

This paper integrated 3D braiding technique with SFRC and developed 3-D braided steelfiber reinforced concrete (3D-BSFC). Uniaxial compressive test of the BSFC samplesrevealed that the mechanical performance of BSFC is much better than that of SFRC. ForBSFC, higher fiber content and smaller fiber diameter result in higher strength and toughness.Compressive strength of BSFC reached 3 times of the matrix strength. Failure of BSFCexhibited the characteristics of ductile failure mode.
