SYNTHESIS OF SHRINKAGE REDUCING ADMIXTURE AND THE MITIGATION EFFECTS ON CONCRETE SHRINKAGE

By analyzing the probable shrinkage reducing substances, some shrinkage reducingchemicals were selected to be the ingredients of the shrinkage reducing admixture (SRA), andit was finally obtained through optimization. The influence of shrinkage reducing admixtureon autogcnous shrinkage was investigated. The results show that a proper addition of SRAcan remarkably reduce autogenous shrinkage, higher dosage of SRAs leads to a smallershrinkage. A proper composition of shrinkage reducing chemicals can result in a perfectshrinkage reducing effect that autogenous shrinkage can be reduced by 66% and 58% at theage of 3 days and 7 days respectively when the SRA dosage is 4% of water.
