YOUNG CONCRETE THERMAL CRACKING CONTROL BASED ON EQUIVALENT AGE METHOD
The equivalent age method based on the Arrhenius law makes it possible to predict theconcretes compressive and tensile strength evolution at a reference constant temperature.Examples are mentioned in this paper. Determining whether the thermal cracks may developis complicated by the fact that both the stress development and strength evolution are relatedto curing temperature and time. Noticed that the equivalent age is calculated by temperatureand time, and this method can also be extended successfully to the concrete cracking controlin structures through the use of the finite element program ANSYS.
