Parameters Optimization of Fuzzy Controller Based on PSO
Pendulum,a natural unstable nonlinear system,is apowerful tool to check the control theory and controlalgorithm.Fuzzy Logic can control nonlinear systemsthat would be difficult or impossible to modelmathematically,which opens the door for controllingsystems that would normally be deemed unfeasible forautomation.Note that if too many inputs and outputsare chosen for a single implementation since rulesdefining their interrelations must also be defineddefining the rule base quickly becomes complex.In thisarticle,Synthetic error and synthetic error variety isintroduced to reduce the input variates and the controlrule of fuzzy controller.The performance of the fuzzycontroller is sensitive to the variety of scaling factorswhose role is to allow the fuzzy controller to match theexternal world to be controlled.Improved ParticleSwarm Optimization is investigated to tune scalingfactors of the fuzzy controller for the invertedpendulum.
