HYDRATION MECHANISM OF HIGH STRENGTH CONCRETE USING CEMENTITIOUS COMPOSITES
This investigation was carried out to assess and understand the hydration mechanism ofhigh strength concrete containing PFA and SF. The hydration (CH content and nonevaporable water) was conducted using therrnogravimetry analysis on cement pasteincorporating PFA and SF as partial cement replacements for the preparation of variouscombinations of binary and ternary blended systems. A water-binder ratio of 0.27 was usedthroughout. The specimens were mist cured and test was conducted between 1 and 180 days.
