Pyrolysis characteristics of rice husk by microwave heating
Rice husk is a kind of abundant biomass in China. More than 3.6 million tons of rice husks are produced annually and most of which are waiting for reasonable utilization. Here we have conducted pyrolysis of rice husk by microwave heating for the purpose of obtaining some knowledge of its behavior under different conditions. The effects of run time, microwave power, the particle size and the flow rate of carrier gas on yields of gasous, liquid and solid products and composition of gaseous product have been investigated and the liquid product has been qualitatively analyzed.
