HOW TO DETERMINE THE BED TEMPERATURE OF CFB FIRING BIOMASS
Agglomeration and sintering of the bed material occurs in circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boiler when it burns biomass alone and operates with traditional silica bed material. Owing to the formation of silica and alkali compound of low melting point, the temperature is a key parameter affecting the agglomeration and sintering, and it is very important for biomass fired CFB design. Deforming temperature of fusing point test and a simple sintering method were conducted in this paper, and the latter has been used to determine the bed temperature of CFB firing corn-cob fuel alone. Compared with other researchers method, our method introduced in this paper is acceptable and applicable. Exact prediction of bed agglomeration remains a strong challenge to be done.
