A COMPARISON OF THREE TYPICAL BIOMASS GASIFICATION SYSTEMS OPERATED IN TIANJIN

Biomass gasification system is deployed rapidly in rural areas in China. In this paper three Biomass Gasification Systems were investigated in terms of gasification efficiency, heating value of fuel gas produced and tar concentration. Two of them are established by two companies and are proven to be reliable in operation but are criticized by local farmer users due to high contents of tar and waste water pollution, the other one is designed by Tianjin University in order to overcome the problems foreseen. By analyzing the inner structure of the gasifiers and other parts of the biomass gasification system such as purification system, air supply system and actual operation situation, the way to improve the performance of existed biomass gasification systems is presented.
