MYCORRHIZAL COLONIZATION AND PRODUCTION POTENTIAL OF THE ENERGY PLANTS IN BRASSICA
The investigation of colonization performance of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AM fungi)to Brassica was carried in field and in pot experiment with six species of Brassica rapa L. Chinensis Group. (B.chinensis L.), B. oleracea L. var. capitata L., B. oleracea L. var. botrytis L., B. pekinensis (Lout.) Rupr., B. napus L. and B.juncea (L.) Czernajew var. tumida Tsen & Lee. The experiments showed that roots of all the six species could be colonized effectively by AM fungi. These structures of arbuscules, vesicules, spores and hyphae in Brassica roots can be clearly observed with light microscope. This colonization phenomena was observed clearly again in pot experiment of rape seedlings inoculated by AM fungi. This research is a significant matter for clarifying the symbiosis between crucifer and AM fungi, and also strongly indicates AM fungi has potential to increase production of the energy plants in Brassica.
