Application of Methane Fermentative Residues in the Control of Crop Diseases and Insect Pests
Methane fermentative residues (MFR) can be applied to control almost 30 common crop diseases and insect pests of farmlands. They show noticeable control effects on at least 20 crop diseases and farmland insect pests, which are equal or even superior to control results of agricultural chemicals currently in practice. MFR is effective to put insect pests under control. MFR utilization helps to control crop diseases and insect pests, meanwhile they can serve as quality fertilizer. It is an ideal way to develop environment-friendly agriculture and avoid agricultural chemical pollution. MFR can obviously inhibit pathogens including Escherichia. Coil, Salmonella trpimurium, pig erysperals. As for ten strains of Penicillia and Aspergillus, MFR can take certain inhibitory effect. So is it the case with 17 kinds of crop pathogens. Steady application of methane fermentative residues as extensively effective bio-pesticide brings no harm to the environment and can not lead to agricultural chemical resistance of crop diseases and insect pests.
