RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ALGORITHM FOR SOFTMANS MEMORY MAPPING MIGRATION
This paper presents our recent research work on SoftMan and the issue of SoftMan migration that we address. The new computing paradigms used for SoftMan migration including migrating forms (Memory Mapping Migration and File Migration), driving ways (Self-Migration and Being-Migrated-by-Other-SoftMan), and an effective algorithm are put forward. The focus of the paper is on the algorithm for SoftMan memory mapping migration, and the key questions covering migrated data and the flow of migrating control are discussed in detail. On the basic of rebuilding the Linux kernel, we have implemented the SoftMan dynamic migration supported by the technique of dynamic loading of kernel modules. At the end, we evaluate the characteristics of the migration mechanisms implemented and propose the future work.
