THE APPLICATION OF VIDEO CAPTURE IMAGE BASED ON DIRECTSHOW IN THE VEHICLE LICENSE PLATE RECOGNITION SYSTEM
The basic principle of the Directshow and the moving target detection method are introduced in this paper. Then, against the unfixed background in the vehicle license plate recognition system, using background rebuilding and background subtraction, the method of moving vehicle detection in the video flow is presented. Finally, the implementation and the code about the video capturing image which is based on Directshow in the vehicle license plate recognition system are presented. It makes a good foundation for the following work. The real-time processing of video image is a hotspot in the current studies. The domestic and foreign scholars have carried on many studies. However, before processing the image, we have to make a real-time capture to catch our interested frame image from the video sequence, then carry on a series of processing work on the image. 1 Directshow is a development kit, which is used to carry on flow media processing in the Windows platform. It is provided by Microsoft Corporation. It provides the powerful support for the multimedia flow’s capture and playback. With Directshow, we can capture the data from the gathering card conveniently, and carry on the corresponding following processing, and save the data in the files eventually. The paper mainly introduces how to use the Directshow to detect the moving vehicle simultaneously from the video sequences, and get the frame image which includes the vehicle information. It will make a good foundation for the following vehicle recognition.
