A STUDY ON RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PROPERTY OF MEDIUM AND RECOGNITION PROCESS

Differences in humans image recognition processes are discussed. Human lives are surrounded by a lot of copied visual media. These can be mistaken for original visual media if the colors and shapes are the same as the original. However, do these copies influence observers the same way originals do? In this paper, experiments using an electrocardiograph were carried out to verify physiological behaviors when viewing an art work and a copy. In this experiment, it was expected that the subjects physiologically differentiated the original and the copies, because we cannot intentionally control the output of an electrocardiograph. This study aimed to clarify the differences between information included in an original work and information included in a copy.
