A Survey of Flash Memory Design and Implementation of Database in Flash Memory

摘要：

Flash memory is getting more popularity for its non-volatility,shock resistance,no mechanical delay andrandom access.Increasing size of flash memory aswell as decrease in price has strengthened thepossibility of replacing hard disk in near future.In thissurvey paper we discussed about the technologicalconstraints of flash memory and how these problemshas been solved so far.This survey paper tells aboutall major steps to solve these problems.At the end ofthis paper we discuss about use of flash memory invarious research, related with databaseimplementation as well as DBMS in flash memory fromvery small device like sensors to enterprise applicationlevel.
