SOLUBILITY AND FUEL PROPERTIES OFDIESEL-BIODISEL-ETHANOL BLEND

In this work, biodiesel was prepared as cosolcentst for the hydrotropy efficiency of biodiesel in mixed fuel of diesel and ethanol. Meanwhile the physical and chemical characteristics and stabilty of diesel-biodiesel-ethanol blends in different proportions were also studied. The results indicate that the component of biodiesel in blends exceed 12％, the blends can be dissolved each other; too high alcohol content leads to worsening of various physical and chemical properties of fuels(density,flash point, pour point, heat of combustion,cetane index). Taking these facts into account, the blend of 10％ of ethanol, 12 ％ of biodiesel and 68％ diesel was the most suitable ratio.
