Strategic Entrepreneur: the High Model of Entrepreneurial Growth

As the main body of firm growth,entrepreneur is pivotal.Strategic management is not only an important variable of firm growth,but also an important function of entrepreneur.Consequently,strategic entrepreneur integrates entrepreneurial theory and strategic management theory.Because strategic entrepreneurial competencies are the core issues of the strategic entrepreneur,start point of this paper is strategic entrepreneurial competencies.Strategic entrepreneurial competencies consist of institutional competencies and strategic competencies.According to the intensity of strategic entrepreneurial competencies,four models of entrepreneurial growth could be divided into,which are tactical entrepreneur,visional entrepreneur,institutional entrepreneur and strategic entrepreneur.For strategic entrepreneur,strong strategic entrepreneurial competencies are necessary.Strategic entrepreneurial competencies are based on entrepreneurial knowledge.The critical measure to strengthen strategic entrepreneurial competencies is entrepreneurial learning.Institutional knowledge and strategic knowledge are obtained by entrepreneurial learning.Chinese managers should attach importance to strategic entrepreneurial competencies and try their best to strengthen it.
