A Study on the Licensing Strategy of IT Firm Innovator
This paper analyzes the licensing strategies of IT firm with quality-improving innovation protected by a patent proprietary in a duopoly market with an extended Hotelling model.It shows that,when the innovation degree of product is great enough,firm innovator will no longer release technology licensing to the other manufacturer,when the network strength is close to 1/2,the innovative firms have higher willingness to license innovative technology to the other firms,and when the new product is fully compatible with the old product,the innovator will not release technology licensing.
