Comparison of Knowledge Assimilation and Exploitation with Different Ownership
Based on communication theory, social capital theory, and knowledge management theory, this research utilizes a structure equation model to identify the impact of corporate communicational capability and social capital on knowledges assimilation and exploitation. We compare the differences of these relationships in Chinese state-owned companies and non-state-owned companies. We find that the differences are significant in companies with different ownership identities. We thus argue that in China decisions with regard to innovation strategy of knowledge should consider the ownership identity.
