Research on Relationship between Personality and Commitment Escalation in Chinese Culture Background
In order to explore whether decision makers personality will affect the escalation of commitment,managers of Chinese culture background were as subjects chosen for studying the relationship between four aspects of personality, including self-esteem, risk taking, frustration tolerance and locus of control, and escalation of commitments via Independent-Samples T Test and Regression analysis. The results confirm that the hypothesis of personality and the escalation have a close correlation, which enlarges the individual decision making theories in management, and provides guidable comments for selection practices of management decision maker and improvement of predictions of decision makers behavior.
