EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON COMPARSION BETWEEN THE NEL AND THE ASTM C1202TESTING METHOD FOR CHLORIDION PERMEABILITY

Based on the feasibility analysis of principle,contrast test of chloridionpermeability of high strength concrete and normal concrete with the same specimen areinvestigated by using ASTM C1202 and NEL test method respectively. So the datadiscretization due to different specimens can be canceled. It is testified from principle analysisand a series of test that the influence of the former ASTM C1202 test on the latter NEL testresults can be neglected,which provides a feasibility to establish a correct relationshipbetween electric flux and diffusion coefficient without error from discretization. It is showedthat,by the comparison study with same specimen,test of ASTM C1202 should be carded outfirstly and then followed the NEL one. The test results show that the discreteness of the dataof electric flux and Cl diffusion coefficient is small for high performance concrete with lowwater-gel ratio,which means that it is easy to determine the quantify relationship betweenthem. And meanwhile,there is more discretization in normal strength concrete with highwater-gel ratio,so it is difficulty to find a same relationship between them.
