AN EXPERIMENTAL ON FATIGUE BEHAVIOR OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS USING FIBER BRAGG GRATING SENSORS
The number and variety of sensors in the bridges is related to economicalefficiency. Durability and safety has to be fulfilled, not to mention accuracy. Accordingly, thefatigue behavior of reinforced concrete beams using Fiber Bragg grating sensors (FBGsensors) will be compared with the results using existing electric sensors. In this study, comparison between poticai fiber bragg grating (FBG) sensor and general sensor andapplication of the FBG sensor for monitoring the behavior of the bridge will be made. Torealize this result,it is mostly intended to develop optical FBG sensor and general sensor tomanufactured tester in order to verify confidence on the developed FBG sensor. Moreover, durability, safety, and accuracy of the Fiber Bragg Grating sensors should be verified. For construction of the Smart monitoring system of management and maintenance for theBridge, introduction and application of the monitoring of the bridge to the high-techmeasurement is in progress. For this purpose,it is absolutely necessary to have a communi-cation system for transmission and reception of the measured data and to develop a model forthe maintenance.
