SHEAR BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENT OF REINFORCED CONCRETE BEAMS UNDER CYCLIC LOADING
Shear behaviour of reinforced concrete (RC) beam under cyclic loading is carriedout based on the experiments of 19 RC beams. Test variables are reinforcement ratio,shearspan-to-depth ratio,transverse ties ratio and times of cycle loading. A maximum 15% deceasein ultimate shear capability over the control beam is observed,while the crack width isincreased dramatically under the cyclic loading. The damage caused by cyclic loading couldnot be neglected based on the experiment. The theoretical and experimental results areanalyzed and a coefficient considering the influence of cyclic loading on shear capacity ispresented. The coefficient can be used for quantitative evaluation of RC beam shear capabilityafter the damage of cyclic loading.
