The Impact of Innovation Strategy in China——From European and Chinese Perspectives

Chinas booming economy has attracted international attention, but So have caused however serious environmental pollution and increasing consumption of resources and energy. Howing long been considering theworlds factory, China has adopted a national strategy of independent innovationin order to achieve economic and environmental sustainability. This paper introduces the development of Chinas innovafion policy and analyzes the impact of that strategy from European and Chinese perspectives in four key fields: envkonmental technology, energy technology, SMEs and collaboration between industry and universities and research institotes.
