On Performance of Sphere Decoder Joint Detection Algorithm for MIMO LAS-CDMA System

This paper proposes a new reduced-complexity jointdetection algorithm based on sphere decoder for MIMO LASCDMAsystem.This algorithm can approach ML performancein polynomial complexity.Special Zero Correlation Windowproperty of LAS code can reduce complexity of this algorithmgreatly.Simulation indicates it is more insensitive to the choiceof initial radius.Thus,by making the choice of radiussufficiently large,the ML solution is guaranteed with lowcomplexity,even for large constellations.We compare thisalgorithm with MMSE,ZF multicode detectors.Numericalresults show performance of this algorithm is good even at veryhigh speed such as 160Km/h,this give us some insights ondeveloping high efficient practical joint detection algorithm forfurther LAS-CDMA system.
