Performance Analysis of MPLS Protocols over conventional Network

摘要：

The explosive growth of the lntemet and theconvergence of most communication services to IP-basednetworks,Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is a newmeans to enhance the speed,scalability and serviceprovisioning capabilities for optimization of transmissionresources.This paper focuses on the comparative analysis ofMPLS network over a conventional network where acomprehensive simulation environment is created using NS2.We have shown that MPLS can achieve reliable explicitrouting by deploying maximally-disjoint pre-calculatedalternate paths results improved packet transmission in MPLSnetwork.
