Research on Improving Resolution for Near-Field Millimeter Wave Imaging with Artificial Noise
Effects of illumination on the object for millimeterwave imaging were investigated to improve the resolution.Relationship between apparent temperature of object andoutput voltage of the receiver was discussed, imaging results ofpassive millimeter wave system without illumination andsystem with illumination were simulated respectively, changesfor objects apparent temperature and thermal sensitivity underillumination of artificial noise were analyzed.Resultsdemonstrate that the temperature gradient for different pixelswith different material is greater under illumination which canbenefit the resolution of the image.Images with higherresolution can be obtained even without a low noise-figurereceiver.
