The Study on the Configuration of Sensor Probe to Measure the Stem Water Content
The measurement of volume water content in stembased on dielectric constant has been utilizing widely.A studybased on SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) technique was presentedin this paper.The sensor probe plays an important role indetermination of stem water content with a variety ofinstruments.Therefore,it is critical to study the length of theprobe in order to improve the measuring accuracy of theinstrument.Different organic liquids were chosen as the testingmedia to simulate the water stem.With the length of the probethe object is to measure the change of the output voltage UAB.The experimental results confirmed that the output voltage UABis changed with the length of the probe.In addition,the datafrom the correlation demonstrated that the length of 50ram isthe best.
