UHF RFID Tag Antenna Mounted on Metallic Objects

A deployment method by changing the gap betweena tag antenna and a metallic plate is given to reduce the metaleffects on antenna.Pad some medium into the gap,and thenintegrate.By the adjustment of the gaps thickness,thereflection of the electro -magnetic wave is full used to improvethe antennas gain and field strength.Thus may result in greatread range.Finite Element Method (FEM) is used tosimulate the tags performance.Theory analyses are alsogiven.With this method,the high performances of the tag canbe available even in metal environments.
