Synthetic Digital Correlation for Combined Polarimetric Microwave Remote Sensing
Combined passive and active microwave remotesensing can provide complementary information and enhanceperformance of the retrieval of parameters.In consideration ofcombination of passive and active microwave polarimeters inan identical system,an active polarimetric matrix consisting ofsix parameters is set forth to comport with the format of thepassive polarimetric parameters matrix which is known asStokes Vector.A synthetic digital correlation method isdesigned to perform combined measurements of the two typesof parameters matrixes,and is advantage to achieving costsaving using shared subsystems and hardware.Performances ofthe design are analyzed including measurement sensitivities,relative errors,and dynamic rang.
