Design of Lowpass Filter Using Complementary Open-Loop Resonators

摘要：

In this paper,a new methodology for the designof Compact planar lowpass filters in microstrip technology isproposed.This is based on cascading filter stages consistingof the combination of complementary open-loop resonators(COLR),proposed by the authors for the first time,and openstubs.By this means,we obtain sharp cutoff,compactness,and low passband insertion-loss.To illustrate the potentialityof the proposed approach,a compact S-band microstriplowpass filter with COLR was designed,fabricated andmeasured.
