The Design of Coaxial Microwave Amplitude Equalizer
The amplitude frequency characteristic curve ofmicrowave power amplifier is nonuniformity in its frequencyband.To improve the flatness and the stability of thetransmission characteristic,a method is presented in this paperthat is to place a microwave amplitude equalizer in the outputport of an amplifier.With the help of HFSS (high frequencystructure simulator),the modeling,simulation and optimizationfor a given equalizing curve are completed.The simulationresults of the transmission characteristic and VSWR (VoltageStanding Wave Ratio) show that the designed coaxial resonatorhas advantages of simple-structured and easy-debugging,andthe designed equalizer may preferably compensate for theamplitude distortion of the amplifier.
