New Anisotropic Metamaterial Structure with a Broader Negative Refractive Bandwidth
Based on a quadrate-ring structure,a crossing-netmetamaterial structure is proposed,analyzed and the frequencycharacteristics of the structure are simulated.The simulationresults indicate that the new structure has negative permeabilityin an 11GHz bandwidth at x direction and its negativepermeability bandwidth comes to 16GHz at z direction,withinthis frequency band,the permittivity is also negative,thisachieves a broader negative-index bandwidth; due to theasymmetry of the new structure,both the permittivity andpermeability have anisotropic properties.
