Separation of Coupling Coefficient Between Resonators into Magnetic and Electric Components Toward Its Application to BPF Development

A new concept on resonators coupling coefficientis applied to various structures.The main idea is todiscriminate the magnetic and electric contributions based onthe coupled mode theory.Strong to weak coupling of open-ringresonators when they are faced on broadsides,is clarifiedtogether with the magnetic couplings survival at the longdistance.Combline and interdigital couplings are wellexplained to have differem coupling property.Some new BPFsare proposed on the basis of the present theory,which couldrealize significant miniaturization of multi-stage BPFs.
