Multidirectional Morphological Edge Detection Algorithm Based on Alternate Filtering

摘要：

Basic morphological operation can remove image noise. But it also removes the different directional edge details when it is used to detect image edge. In order to remove the noise and remain all directional edge details at the same time, multidirectional morphological edge detection algorithm (MMEDA) based on alternate filtering is designed. Comparing with experiment results, MMEDA can not only efficiently remove the noise but also detect edge of noise image well.
