An RF Monitoring Station for the Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT) in the 70-110 GHz Band
The characterization of the RF environment of the LMT site is an important fact for the optimal operation of the radio telescope in its first observation band ranging from 75 to 110 GHz. A radio frequency monitoring station has been implemented and the 0-40 GHz band has been measured. Standard telecommunications services have been identified in the 0-3 GHz band. Until now, no signals in the 10-40 GHz band have been detected. As the telescope aims to observe in the 70-300 GHz band, a continuous RF monitoring is necessary. In a first step, the monitoring of the 75-110 GHz band is proposed as the telescope will start observing in such a band.
