ANALYSIS OF SHAPE RECOVERY STRESS AND PROPERTIES OF SHAPE MEMORY POLYURETHANE AND ITS CARBON NANOTUBE NANOCOMPOSITES

INTRODUCTIONShape memory polyurethanes have recently receivedmuch attention as the intelligent polymers.Specially,they have many advantages such as flexibility,easyprocess,large deformation,and transparence comparedwith shape memory alloys.However there are beensome limit in the shape recovery force of polymers forpractical application such as actuators.To overcomesuch a limit,carbon nanotubes may be available.Inaddition,for improving processing of CNT composites,the caster oil-based hypebranched polymer may beemployed to prepare nanocomposites with an enhanceddispersion of CNTs.
