A Hybrid Lamb Wave Tomography MethodCombining Traveltime and Waveform Data
Results of current research on acoustic wavetraveltime-based Lamb wave tomography have generallyreflected the varied trend of velocity in media.In order toutilize more wavefield information to obtain velocity variationat finer scales,a hybrid Lamb wave tornography techniqueborrowed from seismic wave inversion is used in present study.The new method combines advantages of acoustic wavetraveltime and waveforrn tomography.The conventionaltraveltime tomography using ray tracing is used as the initialvelocity model of acoustic wave-equation waveform inversionusing finite difference modeling.The method can enhance theresolution of traveltime tomography and overcome thedrawbacks of waveforrn tomography which is subject to runinto the local minima.Experimental results show that themethod is very effective for improving the resolution oftraveltime Lamb wave tomography.
