Analysis And Design Of A Novel Compact UWB Antenna

摘要：

A novel compact planar circular slot UWB antenna with rectangular patch is proposed. The antenna is similarInconfiguration to a conventional planar circular slot microstrip antenna,but there is a rectangular patchInthe middle of the circular slot. ByThis way,the antenna can achieve ultra-wideband characteristic and very small size,In the experiment results,the impedance bandwidth of the antenna coversA frequency range between 2.4GHz to 12GHz,which means the ratio impedance bandwidth reachs 5:1. Moreover,the physical size of the antenna is only 35mrn×35mm. Having ultra-wideband characteristic and compact and planar structure,the antenna is suitable for UWB communications.
