A Novel Broadband EBG Using Multi-period Mushroom-like Structure
A novel broadband electromagnetic band-gap (EBG)structure is presented using multi-period mushroom-like structure with different patch size cascaded. Direct transmission method is used to determine the band-gap of the EBG structure.The effects of the unit number and patch size on the mushroom-like EBG structure are investigated. Two kinds of unit with different patch size are cascaded to enlarge the band-gap of EBG structure,which achieves almost 87.1%. The simulation results show that the band-gap almost covers the stop-band produced by the two uniform configurations with different patch size respectively.
