Design of compact broadband circularly polarised bowtie patch antenna
This paper presents a novel circular polarization broadband microstrip antenna: the familiar bowtie shaped patch antenna,which is fed by a proximity-coupled T-shaped micrpstrip-line.A H-shaped slot is incorporated into the patch of the microstrip patch to realize it miniaturization. The simulation results show that the impedance bandwidth and axial ratio bandwidth is 13％ and 3％ respectively. An acceptable axial ratio (AM < 2) is obtained inA broad angular range from -90 to 90 degrees from boresight. The optimized radiation pattern is also presented.
