Empirical Study on R&D Input, Technology Import and Manufacturing Technology Advancement

摘要：

This article carries out the empirical study on the relationship between manufacturing R&D input,technology import and technology advancement.Based on the Cobb-Douglas production function,employing the time series data of manufacturing in China from 1987-2006,Total Factor Production (TFP) of manufacturing is estimated in order to infer the technology advancement of manufacturing.Econometric model between manufacturing advancement,R&D input and technology import has been constituted.The conclusion is: TFP of manufacturing in China is increasing every year,which means that technology advancement of manufacturing is advancing continuously.R&D input has positive effect on the development of manufacturing technology advancement,but technology import does not.Finally,this article puts forward relevant policy suggestions.
