A New Kind Waveguide with a Plan Structure

摘要：

A new kind of waveguide (WG) is presented inthis article. The new WG is structured in a metal rectangular WG loaded with a substrate which partly is covered by a short circuit metal patch. The propagation characteristics and electric field Eys numerical distributionInthe transverse section of its dominating mode and high order modes are presented by a novel 2D_FDTD scheme. As an application of the new WG,a filter is designed and its results of numerical simulation are presented.
