The Studies on Coupling Characteristics of Microstrip Complementary Split Ring Resonators (CSRRs)

The coupling characteristics of three typical coupling structures for double CSRRs are studiedIn This paper firstly. One CSRR can couple to the other through electric coupling,magnetic coupling and mixed electromagnetic coupling respectively. Different coupling structures can cause different frequency responses,especially the stopband characteristics and the position of transmission poles.Inorder to find the influence of coupling spacing,a novel compact ultra-wideband (UWB) low-pass filter using double CSRRs is proposed By adjusting the coupling spacing between two CSRRs,the spurious passband can be successfully suppressed The stopband shows ultra-wideband and excellent insertion loss characteristics.
