A Study and Research of Some Microwave Circuits Which Bring Group Delay Ripples in Broadband Communication System

This paper discusses the group delay ripples (GDR)bring by some microwave circuits and their influence on broadband communication systems. First the definition of group delay ripples is reviewedIntheory and their physical meaning is interpretedInpractice. Then the ways how to select and design suitable circuits to reduce system group delay ripples are discussed,several tipsInthe design and using of continuous-time(CT) analog filter and frequency converter are given. Sometimes an analog group delay equalizer is necessary,so a proposal on how to select and use the group delay equalizer is also given at the end.
